HOLCOMB — Anderson A. "Andy" Webdell, 67, of Holcomb, died Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010, at Kansas City Hospice House.
He was born June 1, 1942, in San Angelo, Texas, to Richard and Gertrude Webdell. He grew up and attended school in Corpus Christi, Texas, graduating from Ray High School in 1960 and later graduating from the University of Corpus Christi.
Mr. Webdell enjoyed reading, fishing, golfing, casinos, playing bridge on Thursdays, and spending time with his family, his friends and his dogs. He volunteered his time at the Garden City Salvation Army.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Mary Grace Webdell; two sons, A.J. Webdell of Kansas City, Mo., and Richard Webdell of Overland Park; a brother, Richard Webdell of Holcomb; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Feb. 6 at the Garden City Salvation Army, 216 N. Ninth St.

Andy always was in a good
mood, He kept us laughing
while we faced cancer. He was a wonderful man, who always gave. This community will miss him.
