Humane Society to offer vaccines

The Finney County Humane Society will offer four free vaccination clinics this year for pets to receive parvo-distemper vaccinations.

The first clinic is scheduled for Saturday, 1 to 3 p.m., in the parking lot of the Garden City/Finney County Animal Shelter at Ninth and Isabel streets. That also is the location for two additional dates: May 31 and June 21.

On Oct. 11, the clinic will be held in conjunction with the Pet Expo, outside of the 3i Building on the Finney County Fairgrounds in Garden City.

Puppies under 6 months of age need a series of three shots. Dogs 6 months and older need to be vaccinated each year.
