S.W.A.T. team called for drug arrest

Garden City Police Department S.W.A.T. team members and the Garden City/Finney County Drug Task Force arrested a Garden City man Thursday after a two-month cocaine trafficking investigation.

Law enforcement officials served a search warrant at 1016 N. Fourth St. and located and arrested Lawson Little, 55, of the same address, after entering the residence at 4:39 p.m., said Garden City police Sgt. Michael Reagle.

During a search of Little, officers found a pill bottle containing 18 individual bags of suspected crack cocaine weighing 7.6 grams.

A search of the residence resulted in officers finding 33.4 grams of suspected powder cocaine, drug paraphernalia related to the use and distribution of illegal drugs and $1,698, Reagle said.

Little was lodged in the Finney County Jail on allegations of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, no Kansas drug-tax stamp, felony possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
