Garden City police officers responded to a bomb threat at Garden City High School Friday afternoon after a teacher in J.D. Adams Hall received a phone threat, said Garden City police Capt. Mike Utz.

Utz said officers went to GCHS shortly after 3 p.m. The police checked the school and no suspicious devices were found, he said.

The police are investigating the incident.

Roy Cessna, public information coordinator for Garden City USD 457, said the district is cooperating with the police and takes threats seriously for the safety and security of students and school employees.
