Campaign collection inching upward

United Way campaigners have raised $171,000 -- or 31 percent -- of their $550,000 goal so far in their 2010 annual fundraising campaign.

This week's Leadership Givers -- donors who give $500 or more -- include the following individuals and businesses: Dr. Surrendra Verma, Avis Wallace, Jesse and Gayleen Bernal, Kerry Regan, Rochelle Clower and Beth Tedrow.

Margaret Anderson, executive director of the Finney County United Way, said the local agency representatives will make presentations to Americold, National Service Co. of Iowa and Tatro Plumbing next week.
