The Finney County Sheriff's Office is investigating an aggravated battery today after deputies were called to H & H Trailer Park at about 12:02 a.m. in reference to several subjects with baseball bats.
Sheriff Kevin Bascue said deputies responded to the trailer park at 4170 E. U.S. Highway 50, Lot 223, and found 18-year-old Adam Rosas lying on the ground outside the trailer, unconscious with a head injury. Rosas lives in the city and was reportedly at the park visiting friends, Bascue said.
He was taken to St. Catherine Hospital and later flown to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita where he was listed in critical condition this morning.
Bascue said the sheriff's office is following up several leads on the incident today. As of this morning, he said they had not determined whether the beating was gang related.
Anyone with information is urged to call the Finney County Sheriff's Office at 272-3700 or CrimeStoppers at 275-7807.
