Arrests/Citations

Wednesday

Jose Martinez-Soto, 28, 2013 Commanche Drive, was cited and released at 4:12 p.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street on an allegation of no proof of insurance.

Luis Juarez, 19, 1518 Hattie St., was cited and released at 3:55 p.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street on an allegation of no proof of insurance.

Jennifer Nemechek, 29, 1302 Kingsbury Road, was cited and released at 6:50 p.m. in the 1700 block of East Mary Street on an allegation of no proof of insurance.

Curtis Leshure, 43, 2824 El Dorado Place, Apt. B, was cited and released at 12:45 p.m. in the 2800 block of El Dorado Place on an allegation of criminal damage that occurred Saturday.

Jose Clown-Soto, 21, 1916 B St., was arrested at 10:10 a.m. in the 1900 block of B Street on an allegation of battery.

Bruno Arce, 19, 1025 Smoky Hill St., was arrested at 10:01 a.m. in the 2500 block of East Kansas Avenue on an allegation of driving without a valid license.

Garrett Back, 23, 2609 Chainey St., Apt. 2, was arrested at 9:34 p.m. in the 2700 block of Chainey Street on allegations of driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license and no proof of insurance.

Joe Torres Jr., 22, 1805 Diane St., was cited and released at 4:30 p.m. at the Law Enforcement Center, 304 N. Ninth St., on allegations of theft and a violation of a protective order.

Danny Standifer, 42, 1009 N. 11th St., was arrested at 1:45 a.m. in the 1100 block of North Seventh Street on an allegation of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Thefts/Losses

Wednesday

Between 3 p.m. Tuesday and 10:08 a.m. Wednesday at Target, 2401 E. Kansas Ave., someone took a license plate and broke a windshield wiper.

Between June 17 and 12:44 p.m. Wednesday at the National Guard Armory, 405 S. Main St., someone took a decal sticker from a vehicle. Loss $2.

Criminal damage

Wednesday

Between 1 and 1:13 p.m. in the 200 block of Inge Avenue, someone broke a rear window. Loss $200.

Between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m. at Deane Wiley Park, 2406 Campus Drive, someone damaged the tire on a vehicle. Loss $180.

Miscellaneous

Today

Between midnight and 12:10 p.m. in the 300 block of West Maple Street, a known person hit another person with a pipe, causing great bodily harm. Investigation continues.

Wednesday

Between 2 and 10:15 a.m. in the 400 block of North First Street, someone damaged a Dumpster through an explosion. Loss $700.

June 18

At 2 p.m. at Home Depot, 3110 E. Kansas Ave., a known person violated a restraining order. Investigation continues.

Finney County Sheriff's Office

Wednesday

Richard Michael Espinosa, 57, Holcomb, was arrested at 10:05 a.m. in Finney County on an allegation of driving without insurance.

Mike Aguilar, 29, Dodge City, was arrested at 9:55 a.m. in Finney County on allegations of driving without a valid license or insurance.

Victor Manuel Perez, 25, 1620 Summit St., was arrested at 10:20 a.m. in Finney County on an allegation of driving with a suspended license.

Bruce Telefero McCallister, 58, 209 St. John St., was arrested at 10:10 a.m. in Finney County on an allegation of failure to stop at an injury accident.

Manuel David Acevedo, 18, Larned, was arrested at 4 p.m. in Finney County on an allegation of probation violation.

Garden City Fire Department

Wednesday

At 2:15 p.m. at 1714 E. Kansas Ave. -- mobile property (vehicle) fire.

At 4:03 p.m. in the 1500 block of East Rodkey Road -- wrong location.

At 9:34 p.m. at 2025 Old U.S. Highway 83 -- grass fire.

At 9:46 p.m. at 3000 Old U.S. Highway 83 -- grass fire.
