Planners: Community should get involved in designing city's future

Planners: Citizen input sought on comprehensive plan

In this week's episode of Talk of the Town, we talk with Nick Bowden and Nathan Preheim, community planners with Olsson Associates of Lincoln, Neb.

Olsson Associates has been hired by the city to update Garden City's comprehensive plan.

Bowden and Preheim define a comprehensive plan and explain their process for creating one, as well as discussing how they incorporate citizen's input into this guide for the city's future.

Those wanting to get more involved in the process can include one of several meetings this week focusing in downtown revitalization. Meeting times include 6:30 p.m. today and 8:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Thursday.
