GCHS Hall of Fame nominations sought

The Garden City High School Hall of Fame Committee is accepting nominations for 2009 Hall of Fame inductees. Nominees must be graduates of Garden City High School. Other qualifications to be considered include professional accomplishments, community service and the capacity to be a positive role model for the 2009 graduating class.

Nomination forms are available in the main office of Garden City High School, 1412 N. Main St.; the Educational Support Center of Garden City Public Schools, 1205 Fleming St.; the Finney County Public Library, 605 E. Walnut St.; and the Senior Center of Finney County, 907 N. 10th St. For a faxed copy of the nomination form, call the Educational Support Center at 805-7000 or GCHS at 805-8000. The form also is available at the Garden City Public Schools Web site at www.gckschools.com under the "Resource Links" section.

Nominations submitted in 2007 and 2008 will be considered along with this year's nominees. Nominations from years prior to 2007 should be resubmitted.

Nominations must be received by 5 p.m. March 13 at the Educational Support Center, 1205 Fleming St., Garden City, KS 67846.

Two inductees will be selected for the 2009 GCHS Hall of Fame, one living within Finney County and one residing outside the county.
