Garden City Community College's men's and women's basketball teams were chosen to finish third and fifth, respectively, in the Jayhawk Conference 2009-2010 Western Division season on Monday at the annual KJCCC Basketball Media Day in Wichita.

The Broncbusters' men's team, which is the defending West Division and Region 6 champion, placed sixth in the NJCAA National Championship a year ago.

The Lady Busters will be under the direction of new head coach Alaura Sharp, who coached at Lamar (Colo.) Community College a year ago. There are nine teams in the West Division of the Jayhawk Conference.

Coaches selected Seward County and Hutchinson as the No. 1 and 2 teams for the men while Hutchinson's women's team was tabbed first by the coaches.
