Enrollment forms due Wednesday

Published 7/3/2009 in Local News : GCHS

Garden City High School enrollment packets that were mailed out in June for early enrollment are due back to the school Wednesday. To enroll a GCHS student through the mail, parents need to complete the student information sheet and health information sheet, and enclose a check or money order for the $36 enrollment fee. The completed enrollment packet will help expedite students through the enrollment process.

The forms and fees can be mailed back to the school or parents and students can stop by the high school, 1412 N. Main St., during summer hours to enroll. GCHS summer hours are 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.

Regular enrollment for GCHS will be held 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. July 30. Students new to the district need to go to the Educational Support Center, 1205 Fleming St., to enroll. Students who have already submitted mail-in enrollment packets do not need to attend.

The first day of school is Aug. 12, with a half-day orientation for students in kindergarten through fifth grade, as well as seventh- and ninth-graders and all students new to Garden City Public Schools. There will be no school in the afternoon for a workday for teachers.

The first full day of school for Garden City Public Schools is Aug. 13.

For more enrollment information, call Garden City High School at 805-8010.
