Arrests/Citations

Today

Justin Cruz, 17, 1011 N. Fourth St., was arrested at 4:06 a.m. in the 1000 block of North Fourth Street on allegations of curfew, minor in consumption of alcohol, obstruction and an arrest-and-detain order.

Monday

Jesse Valenzuela, 18, 6014 Skyline Drive, was arrested at 2:54 p.m. at Law Enforcement Center, 304 N. Ninth St., on a failure-to-appear warrant.

Jerod Dailing, 28, Satanta, was arrested at 12:20 p.m. at Community Corrections, 601 N. Main St., on an arrest-and-detain order.

Christopher Soto, 32, 409 N. Second St., was arrested at 8:33 a.m. at Community Corrections, 601 N. Main St., on an arrest-and-detain order.

A 13-year-old Garden City boy was arrested at 6:30 p.m. at Dillons, 1211 W. Buffalo Jones Ave., on allegations of theft and disorderly conduct. He later was released to parents.

Robert Pina, 24, 4101 E. U.S. Highway 50, lot 504, was arrested at 12:58 p.m. in the 1100 block of North Fifth Street on a fourth driving-while-suspended offense.

Thefts/Losses

Monday

At 5:50 p.m. at Presto, 2522 N. Taylor Ave., someone left without paying for fuel. Loss $65.

Sunday

Between 1:30 and 2 p.m. at Dillons, 1305 E. Kansas Ave., someone stole a wallet. Loss $300.

Saturday

Between 9 a.m. in the 2800 block of El Dorado Place, someone removed items from a vehicle and damaged it. Loss $255.

Between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. in the 400 block of Lake Avenue, someone stole a motorcycle helmet. Loss $250.

Friday

Between 5 and 6 p.m. in the 2600 block of East Fair Street, someone removed a license plate off a vehicle. Loss $3.

Between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. in the 800 block of Campus Drive, someone removed an expiration decal off a vehicle. Loss $1.

Between 10 p.m. Thursday and 2 a.m. Friday in the 2600 block of Chainey Street, someone took a wallet. Loss $162.

Between 6:30 p.m. Thursday and 4 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of East Bellevue Avenue, someone broke into a residence and removed several tools. Loss $1,250.

Between 4 and 8 p.m. in the 4100 block of East U.S. Highway 50, someone forced entry into a residence and stole jewelry, tools and video tapes. Loss $1,005.

Between 9:45 and 10:10 p.m. in the 2800 block of Terrace Place, someone forced entry into an apartment and destroyed a large TV. Loss $1,500.

Criminal Damage

Monday

Between 12:01 and 5 p.m. in the 2000 block of Campus Drive, someone damaged three flower pots. Loss $180.

Between 8:20 and 8:30 p.m. in the 300 block of West Mary Street, someone broke out car windows. Loss $600.

Saturday

Between 7 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday in the 1900 block of B Street, someone wrote graffiti on a residence. Loss $200.

Sunday

Between 5 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Sunday at Garden City Recreation Maintenance Office, 2022 Gene Ave., someone broke a building window. Loss $400.

Between 4:30 and 6 p.m. at Dillons, 1305 E. Kansas Ave., someone scratched a vehicle. Loss $700.

Friday

Between 9:40 and 10 p.m. Friday at St. Catherine Hospital, 401 E. Spruce St., someone dented a car door. Loss $800.

Miscellaneous

Sunday

At 5:20 a.m. in the 1800 block of Harding Avenue, someone battered a person.

Between 4 and 4:05 a.m. in the 300 block of West Mary Street, someone shot several rounds from a handgun which damaged a car tire. Loss $190.

Saturday

At 10:11 p.m. in the 1700 block of West Buffalo Jones Avenue, someone armed with a handgun fled from officers.

Between 8 and 9 p.m. at St. Catherine Hospital, 401 E. Spruce St., someone touched a person in a rude manner.

Finney County Sheriff's Office Arrests/Citations

Monday

Andres Pineda, 30, 1010 N. 12th St., was arrested at 9:05 a.m. in Finney County on allegations of domestic battery and theft.

Jerry Funk, 35, 950 N. Jennie Barker Road, was arrested at 5:25 p.m. in Finney County on allegations of no drug tax stamp and two counts of possession with intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a school zone.

Sunday

Homero Ollarzabal, 18, 1420 W. Campbell St., was arrested at 9:26 a.m. in Finney County on a 2006 bench warrant.

Saturday

Dustin Smith, 19, Ulysses, was arrested at 3:15 a.m. in Finney County on a 2006 municipal bench warrant.

Friday

Geoffery Niblock, 19, 4755 Hillcrest Road, was arrested at 9:36 a.m. in Finney County on a municipal bench warrant and a 2006 arrest-and-detain order.

Michael Becker, 41, Nickerson, was arrested at 3 p.m. in Finney County on a warrant for theft by deception and an allegation of criminal damage.

Thursday

Derrick Dixon, 32, Tribune, was arrested at 8:30 a.m. in Finney County on allegations of transporting an open container of alcohol, possession of drug parahernalia, sale of opiates, opium or narcotic drugs and possession of a hallucinogenic.

Denise Zapata, 33, 2800 N. Farmland Road, was arrested at 8:30 a.m. in Finney County on allegations of identity theft, criminal use of a financial card, two counts theft, attempted theft, forgery and attempted criminal use of a financial card.

Kimberly Cruz, 21, 1902 C St., was arrested at 8:30 a.m. in Finney County on allegations of conspiracy to commit burglary, felony theft, misdemeanor theft, criminal damage and burglary.

Wednesday

Carmen Gastulo-West, 43, Syracuse, was arrested at 8:30 a.m. in Finney County on an allegation of driving while suspended.

Freddy Rodriguez, 18, 2208 Arapahoe Drive, was arrested at 8:30 a.m. in Finney County on an allegation of no valid driver's license.

Timothy Smith, 27, Hugoton, was arrested at 8:30 a.m. in Finney County on allegations of no drug tax stamp, possession with intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a school zone and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Roberto Torres-Palomar, 30, Dodge City, was arrested at 8:30 a.m. in Finney County on an allegation of no valid driver's license.

Bryan Gourley, 26, 1101 Massey Ferguson Road, was arrested at 5:45 p.m. in Finney County on a warrant for not paying child support.

Jose Molinero, 22, Hugoton, was arrested at 12:37 a.m. on an allegation of driving under the influence.

Saturday

Joseph Garrett, 57, 1004 N. Seventh St., was arrested at 12:32 a.m. on an allegation of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Sergio Portillo, 38, 340 S. Farmland Road, was arrested at 8:12 p.m. on allegations of driving under the influence, obstruction and a second driving-while-suspended offense.
