TODAY, NOV. 10

Annual Bazaar: Manter United Methodist Church's annual event will include a meal of turkey, dressing, fixin's and pie served from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., a cake walk at 7 p.m., and an auction of quilts and miscellaneous homemade items at 8 p.m., all at the Stanton County Senior Center, 205 E. Weaver in Johnson City.

Veterans' Day Parade: Begins at 10 a.m. on Main Street in downtown Garden City, featuring veterans, American Legion and Patriot Guard riders.

Annual Christmas Craft Fair: Featuring homemade crafts and food, door prizes and a quilt show, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. MDT in the common area at Syracuse High School, 400 N. Main.

"Oh, Horrors! It's Murder!": Dighton High School's fall musical beginning at 7 p.m. at the school. Advanced tickets are $5 and are available at the high school office.

Antiques & Collectible Craft Sale: The Eagles Auxiliary's event from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Eagles Lodge, 2603 N. Taylor Ave., will raise money for Bridging The Gap (Diabetics Fund) and Finney County Relay For Life (Cancer Fund). It will include a concessions stand serving hamburgers with chips, hot dogs with chips, pop, tea and bottled water.

CPR Saturday Adult CPR Class: The American Red Cross Garden City Area Chapter's event is from 9 a.m. to noon in the gymnasium at the Garden City Family YMCA, 1224 Center. Cost is $5 per person due at the door.

Bingo: Play begins at 6:30 p.m. at the American Legion, 125 W. Pine St. Open to the public.

SUNDAY, NOV. 11

Holiday Pie Festival: Featuring fresh whole pies, half pies and pies by the slice for sale, along with "eat in" pie, accompanied by free coffee and tea, 2 to 4 p.m. in the Finnup Room at the Finney County Public Library, 605 E. Walnut. Also, visit the special book nook open in the foyer, sponsored by Friends of the Library.

Veterans' Day Celebration: 6 p.m. at the Kearny County Fairgrounds in Lakin, to include a soup supper at a cost of $5 per person and free for all veterans.

MONDAY, NOV. 12

Veterans Day program: Featuring special presentations by Dorothy Hawkins, Stewart Boone and Joyce Boone, 3 p.m. in the chapel at Garden Valley Retirement Village, 1505 E. Spruce St. The public is encouraged to attend at no charge.

Bingo: Play begins at 7 p.m. at the Elks Lodge, 905 Kansas Plaza. Open to the public.

TUESDAY, NOV. 13

Musical program: Featuring Gale Seibert and Jane Jacobs, 7 p.m. at Garden Valley Retirement Village, 1505 E. Spruce St. The public is encouraged to attend at no charge.

Bingo: Play begins at 7 p.m. at the VFW, 1101 W. Mary St. Sponsored by VFW Auxiliary, all proceeds go to charity.

SATURDAY, NOV. 17

Stevens Park tree decorating: Annual trimming of trees with Christmas lights begins at 9 a.m. at Stevens Park in downtown Garden City, with hot chocolate and doughnuts available.

Fantasy Tree Festival: Benefit for Russell Child Development Center begins with dinner hors d'oeuvres served from 6 to 7:30 p.m,, with the auction starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Plaza Inn, 1911 E. Kansas. Tickets are $25 per person and are available at the Plaza Hotel, Dillons East and West, Wheatfields On Main and RCDC. A preview is planned from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with admission at $2.

Holiday Home Tour: From 1 to 5 p.m. featuring the homes of Terry and Marianne Turner, 1307 N. Seventh; Dale and Delores Gillen, 612 Kensington Blvd.; Dan and Cynthia Johnson, 1521 Sundance; and viewing of Fantasy Tree Festival and auction items at the Plaza Inn, 1911 E. Kansas. Tumbleweed Bazaar Arts and Crafts Show: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 17 and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 18 at the Grant County Civic Center, 1000 W. Patterson Ave., Ulysses.

Peppernut Shoppe and Ten Thousand Villages Market: The 23rd annual event from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Garden Valley Church, 1701 N. Third St., will feature homemade pies, cinnamon rolls, bierocks, kolaches, peppernuts, candies and New Year's cookies as well as handcrafted wares from artisans from 30 countries, including nativity scenes, linens, toys, jewelry, coffee beans and teapots. Shoppers are invited to stay for breakfast and coffee.

Hours at the Finney County Health Department, 919 Zerr Road, are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday (no walk-ins accepted after 5:45 p.m.). Friday hours are 8 a.m. to noon (office is closed the first Friday of each month).

Kan-Be-Healthy, Southwest Kansas WIC Program, maternal and infant, and family planning require appointments by calling the health department (272-3600) or WIC (272-3615).
