WE MAY AS WELL accept the fact that pretty soon, quite a few of us will have the Asian flu. It is as close as Kansas City on the one side, Ft. Carson on the other, and the pincers movement no doubt will be successful.
(If no other way, our mechanical superintendent took off today to drive his family to Kansas City for the weekend, and they could probably arrange to bring the virus back.)
Having accepted the inevitability, the next step is to take it easy.
The American Medical Association suggests four relaxed measures for those who get it: (1) Stay home and go to bed; (2) Consult your doctor -- who will tell you to stay home and go to bed; (3) Take plenty of fluids; (4) Take aspirin or something similar to keep your temperature down.
The Telegram will be along each afternoon to keep you posted on how many fellow sufferers are sharing your misery.
... If we stay healthy enough down here to put it out, that is.
