Wedding: Taylor-Unruh

Miranda Layne Taylor and Tyler Allen Unruh, both of Garden City, were married Nov. 28, 2009, at First Southern Baptist Church in Garden City. The 5 p.m., double-ring, covenant marriage ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Jon Becker.

The bride's parents are Terrence and Linda Taylor of Garden City. Her grandparents are Robert "Bob" and Barbara Hensley of Garden City; and Tom and Jean Taylor of Dodge City.

The groom's parents are Roger and Sharon Unruh of Garden City. His grandparents are Allen and Cheryl Unruh of Deerfield; and Bill and Laura Goodnight of Garden City. His great-grandmother is Rose Frizzel of Garden City.

Maid of honor was Rachelle Roth of Garden City. Bridesmaids were Allison Bauer of Wichita; and Pam Rodriquez of Garden City.

Best man was John Conway of Pittsburg. Groomsmen were Issac Unruh and Zach Knoll, both of Garden City.

Candlelighters were William Bauer of Wichita; and Taneal Unruh of Holcomb.

Flower girls were Jasmine Roth of Garden City; and Kallyn Turner of Scott City. The ringbearer was Kyler Crain of Garden City.

Serving as ushers were Dillon Quint of Independence, Mo.; Spencer Bauer of Wichita; and Jeff Conway, Derek Scheer and Michael Crain, all of Garden City.

Pianist was Kayra Owings of Garden City. Saxophone soloist was Spencer Bauer of Wichita, who played Eric Clapton's "Wonderful Tonight." Other music selections included "Majesty," "Shine Jesus Shine," "To God be the Glory," Mark Harris's "Find your Wings," Johann Pachelbel's "Canon in 'D'" and "Miracle" by the Foo Fighters.

The ceremony was followed by a reception, given by the couple's parents, at Fiesta Courtyard, Garden City.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of Holcomb High School, a 2008 graduate of Garden City Community with an associates in science and attends Fort Hays State University-Virtual College, planning to graduate in December 2010 with a bachelor's degree in business administration with a certificate in human resources. She is employed as a teller/teller trainer at Commerce Bank.

The groom is a 2005 graduate of Holcomb High School and attended Garden City Community College. A farmer, he is employed by Unruh Grain Farms.

After a wedding trip to Las Vegas, the newlyweds are at home in Deerfield.
