GCCC offers HR test preparation

Garden City Community College's Business and Industry Institute is offering a test preparation course for individuals seeking to earn the Professional in Human Resources or Senior Professional in Human Resources certifications.
The industry-recognized human resource credentials can open doors to wider career opportunities and professional growth, according to Jean Warta, institute director.
The three-day non-credit course from the institute, offered in partnership with Wichita Area Technical College, will take place 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 6 and 27, plus April 24. The class will meet in room ACAD1054 of the Academic Building on the GCCC campus.
The course will be taught on-line and via interactive television. The learning consists of six modules, including Strategic Management, Workforce Planning and Employment, Human Resource Development, Total Rewards, Employee and Labor Relations and Risk Management.
The fee of $899 includes all course materials. The course does not include the actual examination for the PHR and SPHR certificates.
