The top-seeded Ingalls Lady Bulldogs raced to a 56-19 victory over South Gray on Monday in Dodge City at the quarterfinals of the Southern Plains Iroquois League tournament played at United Wireless Arena.

The Lady Bulldogs, 10-1, opened with a 23-6 run in the first quarter and were never challenged.

They were ahead 35-8 at halftime and 51-13 after three periods.

The Lady Bulldogs got balanced scoring as Taylor Bleumer led the way with 16 points, Janae Droster added 13 and Rebecca Wyatt chipped in with 10. Four different players scored four points each for the Lady Rebels.

Monday's victory advances the Lady Bulldogs to Thursday's semifinal at 7:30 p.m. where they will face the Bucklin Lady Red Aces, the only team to defeat Ingalls this season. That setback came on Dec. 13, 36-28.

In other quarterfinal action for the girls, it was Bucklin over Ashland, 52-44, and Spearville blasting Minneola, 58-27.
