The Kansas Weatherization Assistance Program is the nation's largest residential energy efficiency program. It improves heating efficiency and fuel savings by ensuring that homes hold heat and air-conditioning, while keeping the hot and cold air out. There is no charge to the customer. Eligible households receive a comprehensive home assessment that could include repair or replacement of heating systems, insulation and caulking or weather-stripping.
Income limits apply. A household of one must earn $22,980 or less per year. Household of two is $31,020 or less.
For more information, call 1-877-447-5927 or visit www.ihs-housing.org. Applications also are available at the senior center.
