Staci Wedermyer and Michael Kessinger, both of Wichita and formerly of Garden City, were married Aug. 14, 2010, at The First Presbyterian Church in Hays. The 4:30 p.m., double-ring ceremony was officiated by Dr. Dick Glasgow.

The bride's parents are Doug Wedermyer of WaKeeney; and Colleen Wedermyer of WaKeeney.

The groom's parents are Howard and Sharon Kessinger of Marysville.

Matron of honor was Jamie Geist of Overland Park. Maid of honor was Erin Watts of Gilbert, Ariz. Bridesmaids were Lacey Heddlesten of Garden City; DeAnne Spencer of Victoria; Joni Stevens of Lafeyette, Colo.; and Rebecca Reiling of Overland Park.

Best man was James Sandstrom of Topeka. Groomsmen were Jeremy Nester of Marysville; Trent Rose of Colby; Nabil Shaheen of Findlay, Ohio; and Barry Sandstrom of Maple Hill. Junior groomsman was Simeon Wassom of Marysville.

Candle lighters were Sophie Kessinger of Marysville; and Regina Miller of Wichita.

Flower girls were Monique and Madalyn William, both of Hays. Ringbearers were Asher and Titus Wassom, both of Marysville.

Serving as ushers were Kirk Hafliger of WaKeeney; Cody Spencer of Victoria; Paul Kessinger of Lawrence; and Ben Malotte of Marysville.

Pianists were Hannah and Katie Malotte, both of Marysville. Kevin Thompson of Garden City played the trumpet. Soloist was Peter Muraski of Marysville. Music selections included "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring," "Trumpet Voluntary," "One Hand, One Heart" and "Ode to Joy."

The ceremony was followed by a reception at the Fanchon Ballroom, Hays.

The bride graduated from Trego Community High School and Fort Hays State University. She is a store manager for Target.

The groom graduated from Marysville High School and Fort Hays State University. He was the assistant sports editor at The Garden City Telegram for three years and now is a machinist for Landolls.

After a wedding trip to Tennessee, the newlyweds are at home in Wichita.
