Kinlee Roth and Derek Scheer, both of Lakin, were married March 10, 2012, at Bible Christian Church in Garden City. The Rev. Jeff Starkey officiated the 4 p.m., double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Ron and Pat Roth of Garden City; and Ron and Carrie France of Garden City. Her grandparents are Patsy Roth, Gordon and Nell Jones, and Jo Fouse, all of Garden City.

The groom is the son of Bob and Darla Scheer of Copeland. His grandparents are Jim and Carolyn Scheer of Garden Plain; and Jane Nelson of Garden City.

Maid of honor was Bailey Roth of Emporia. Bridesmaids were Kelli Kidder of Clay Center; and Lyndsay Plankenhorn of Garden City.

Best man was Tyler Unruh of Holcomb. Groomsmen were Zach Knoll of Holcomb; and Zane Deacon of Emporia.

Alexis Peitz of Garden City was the flower girl. Ringbearers were Culden and Ryder Plankenhorn of Garden City.

Serving as ushers were Casey Kidder of Topeka; and Weston Peitz, Josh Plankenhorn and Kenny Coons, all of Garden City.

Soloists were Mark Rude and Patricia Walters of Garden City. Music selections included Newsong's "When God Made You."

The ceremony was followed by a reception at the Eagles Lodge in Garden City.

The bride graduated from Garden City High School in 2006, from Garden City Community College in 2008 and from Newman University in 2009. She is a first-grade teacher at Deerfield Elementary School.

The groom graduated from Garden City High School in 2004. He is a warehouse manager at Winfield Solutions.

After a wedding trip to Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico, the newlyweds are at home in Lakin.
