Forget fairness when threatened
U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom from Wichita (an Obama appointee) visited Garden City on Thursday and this is some of what he had to say about gun control:
"My 12-gauge shotgun holds five shots. I pheasant hunt. The state of Kansas says I can only have three shells when I hunt, to make it fair for the bird. Now, wouldn't we want to give humans the same right?" he said.
Hold on there sunshine.
First: Correct me if I'm wrong, but there's no three-round limit on when hunting pheasant, only when perusing migratory birds and that's a federal law, not state.
Secondly: Make it fair for the humans? Seriously? If someone comes into my home and threatens my family, he deserves as many rounds as it takes to stop the threat — be that three or 30. No such thing as a fair fight when it comes to the safety of my family or myself.
