Maria Gomez and Jaime Quintanar, both of Manhattan, were married July 7, 2012, at St. Mary Church. The 1 p.m., double-ring ceremony was officiated by Father Charles.

The bride’s parents are Ramon Gomez and Elizabeth Valles of Garden City. She is the granddaughter of Ramon and Teresa Gomez of Mexico.

The groom is the son of Gabriel and Maria Quintanar of Garden City.

Maid of honor was Becky Gomez of Columbus, Neb. Bridesmaids were Kaydee Tran, Cynthia Corn, Angie Soto, Starr Price, Stacy Gutuireez, Esmeralda Quintanar and Julisa Flores.

Best man was Jesus Quintanar of Garden City. Groomsmen were Pedro Quintanar, Gabe Quintanar, Jose Quintanar, Carlos Munoz, Chris Gomez, Miguel Esobar and Daniel Gonalez.

Flower girls were Mariana Gomez, Noelia Gomez, Monica Quintanar and Isabella Gueverra of Garden City. Ringbearer was Isais Gomez of Garden City.

Organists were Daniel and Martin Valles of Liberal. Soloist was Norma Farrar of Liberal.

The ceremony was followed by a reception at the West Pavilion in Garden City.

The bride graduated from Garden City High School in 2008 and plans to graduate from Kansas State University on Dec. 8 with a degree in elementary education ESL. She is employed by GTM Sportswear.

The groom graduated from Garden City High School in 2008 and from MATC in May 2011. He is employed by Caterpillar.

After a wedding trip to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, the newlyweds are at home in Manhattan.
