The schools are free and open to the public. To ensure adequate food and program materials are available, the organizers are requesting that participants pre-register. Risk management schools fulfill the requirements of the USDA-RMA sponsored project "Bringing Risk Management Tools to Kansas Winter Canola Producers."
Producers will have the opportunity to learn more about successful winter canola production practices and risk management at two production schools in March. Topics will include stand establishment; planting date; harvest management; fertility; variety selection; pest, disease and weed control; insurance; and marketing.
