The South Gray Rebels remained unbeaten with a 57-43 victory on Saturday night over the previously unbeaten Ashland Bluejays to claim the Southern Plains/Iroquois Activities Association championship at the Dodge City Civic Center.

The Rebels (12-0) broke away from a 10-10 first quarter tie and outscored Ashland 16-7 in the second period for a 26-17 halftime lead. Ashland held a narrow 14-13 scoring edge in the third quarter to trim the margin to 39-31 after three periods.

In the fourth quarter, South Gray had their best scoring output, 18-12, to finish with the 14-point advantage.

Garrison Hendricks scored 16 points to pace the Rebels to their tourney title. Storm Mosher and Ronald Martens added 12 and 10 points, respectively, to the winning effort. Ashland received 12 points from Chance Stebens and 10 points from Jay Luerman in their losing cause.
