Greeley County High School graduate Madison Moser finished third Saturday in the 2010 Shrine Bowl 2-mile cross country race held at Pittsburg in conjunction with the 37th annual football bowl game.
Moser, who was a third-place individual finisher at the Class 1A state cross country meet in 2009, led her Lady Jackrabbits to their second consecutive state 1A title last fall.
Her time Saturday was 12:25.0. Last spring, she had clocked a Telegram area best of 12:00.86 in finishing second at the Class 1A state track and field meet in Wichita. She also won the state 1,600-meter run as a senior.
In the boys division, Holcomb's Michael Wolf, the Class 3A runner-up at 3,200-meters, placed 18th with a time of 10:37.0 while his former Holcomb High teammate, JaCee Jarnagin, was 24th in a time of 11:15.0.
Teams were selected from among the top distance runners in both the East and West sections of the state.
Greg Cook, head cross country and track coach at Greeley County, was one of the coaches for the West squad.
