The Kansas Barnstorming Tour is coming through Garden City on Saturday. The Tour, presented by the Garden City Family YMCA, will play against a selected group of area high school seniors at roughly 12:45 p.m. at Perryman Athletic Complex on the Garden City Community College campus.

The doors will open at 11 a.m. for an autograph session with University of Kansas senior Sherron Collins, the winningest player in KU program history. Collins will play alongside several members from the YMCA's Noon Basketball League: Scott Koksal, Jason Just and Ben Knoll along with Greg Calzonetti and Joe Kottas, who were original players from the NBL when it started in 2004.

The area seniors competing include Garden City High School senior Chris Ruiz and GCCC signee Chase Clancy from South Gray. Also playing are Telegram area seniors Bryce Moral, Ulysses; Dylan Shalberg, Lakin; Jacob Van Campen, Holcomb; Watson McKinney, Wichita County; Marty Wendel, Ingalls; Andrew Brown, Syracuse and Brandon Stokes, Sublette. Rounding out the squad is Julimar Silva from Healy.

VIP tickets for the event are $10 and general admission is $8 and can be purchased at RT Sporting Goods and the Garden City Family YMCA. The Barnstormers will sell souvenirs before the game and will have an auction at halftime of the game.
