The weekend starts with the AVID group from Garden City High School serving snacks & treats on Grant and Main Street. The group will be serving soups, sandwiches, burritos and much more starting at noon and running through the concert. In what has become a fun holiday afternoon tradition, the TubaChristmas Concert on Grant Avenue, sponsored by Commerce Bank, is slated for 3 p.m. Saturday conducted by James McAllister, Garden City Community College's director of bands, the area's tuba and euphonium players gather each December to provide whimsical renditions of favorite Christmas carols.

Western State Bank is also offering free carriage rides at the branch bank located at the corners of Main and Spruce Streets north of Stevens Park from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday.
