On Aug. 17, the Finney County Public Library will be switching from summer hours to a new permanent schedule. In the past, the library has changed its hours during the school's summer and winter breaks. From now on, the library's hours will be stable throughout the year.

The hours of operation during the week and on the weekends will be changing. The new library hours are: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday.

By extending our weekend hours and providing a more consistent schedule of library availability, we hope to better serve our patrons. Weekends are when many people have more time to enjoy entertainment, and we want to make the library more available for those people. So whether you want to check out a book or DVD, use the public access computers, or attend a library event, there now will be more time on the weekends for you to access these opportunities. Remember, the new hours begin Aug. 17.

If you have any questions about the new library hours or other library services, programs and events, stop in or give us a call at 272-3680. The full library calendar of events is available at fcpl.homestead.com.
