The Friendship Meal Site at the Senior Center, 907 N. 10th St., serves well-balanced meals at noon Monday through Friday. For a suggested contribution of $3, come and enjoy a balanced meal with friendly fellowship. Reservations are not required unless your group is more than four. We are able to accommodate groups, just call Carol at 272-3620 and make the reservation at least 24 hours in advance.
Starting June 1, the ladies in the kitchen added "Fresh Fruit Fridays." Fruit, along with a variety of vegetable selections, from the salad bar are offered on Fridays. Remember the Senior Center this summer. Donations/contributions of fresh fruit or vegetables from your gardens will be proudly served and enjoyed.
Friendship Meals has a new staff, which the Council Chairperson, Charles Stones, would like to introduce: Carol Wigner, site manager; and Rindi Collins, assistant site manager. The ladies would like to meet you and invite you to join them for lunch. Check the menu and plan to have lunch with us soon.
Thursday: TOPS will meet at 8:30 a.m. Art class will meet at 10 a.m. A para will be in the computer lab from 10 a.m. to noon. Ambassador Singers will practice at 1 p.m. The Wedding Dress Show will begin at 2 p.m. The public is invited to the show, which includes at last one dress for each decade beginning with 1900.
Friday: Stretching exercises start at 8:30 a.m. Check-in for the Craft Shop is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. STEPS exercise classes are at 10 and 11 a.m. St. Catherine Hospital will offer a health services nurse to do screenings from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Bridge is played at 1 p.m. Prairie Land Food deadline is 4 p.m.
Saturday: The pool room will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. The building is rented.
Sunday: The building is rented.

Pitch is played at 12:45 p.m. Duplicate bridge begins at 1:15 p.m. The Senior Citizens Association Board will meet at 2 p.m. Bridge is played at 7 p.m. Grief Support Group meets from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
May 20: Line dancing is at 8:30 a.m. A para will be in the computer lab from 1 to 3 p.m. Pinochle is played at 1 p.m. Life Writing Group will meet at 1 p.m. The Sewing Group meets at 1 p.m. (bring your project and join other "sewers"). The Senior Citizens Association will host a dance from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. The band playing is "The Last Resort." Bring finger food for the break.
Lunch is served at noon.
Thursday: Chicken fajitas and fixin's, refried beans, soft tortilla, apricots.
Friday ("Fresh Fruit Friday"): Sausage casserole, Corn O'Brien, perfection gelatin salad, blushed pears, whole wheat bread.
Monday: Salisbury steak, baked potato, broccoli, bread pudding, whole wheat bread.
Tuesday: Baked ham, sweet potato, peas, strawberries and pears, whole wheat roll.
May 20: Oven-fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, California vegetables, frosted cherry gelatin salad, whole wheat roll.
