The Garden City Windís light blue uniforms graced a diamond for the first time in the teamís history on Wednesday, when the inaugural Pecos League baseball club played an exhibition game at the Wichita Wingnuts.

The Wind fell, 7-4, to the Wingnuts, who were playing their fourth exhibition game of the spring. Garden City starter Zach Russell-Myers lasted just one inning ó pitching into the second ó as the Wingnuts scored three runs in each of the first and second innings.

The Wind scored their first run in the third, when James Floyd singled, stole second base, advanced to third on a fielderís choice and then scampered home on a passed ball.

The Wind have their second and final exhibition game at 2 p.m. Sunday, when they host Amarillo, Texas. The season opener is 6:30 p.m. Tuesday against the Trinidad, Colo., Triggers.
