Business owners, managers and others who need to learn the basics of
accounting can count on a two-session short course coming up from the
Garden City Community College Business and Community Education
Department. The department is offering the ABCs of Accounting from 1 to 5
p.m. Sept. 17 and 18. The course is being taught by veteran instructor
Jamie Morphew at a cost of $175 per person.
"This is a class about accounting principles for the non-accountant,"
said Jean Warta, department director. "It will cover the accounting
equation and accounting cycle, using real-life small business accounting
studies. Participants will employ mini-case studies during the class to
reinforce the skills they learn."
Information and registration are available at 276-9647, on the web at
www.gcccks.edu/businessandcommunity or on the second floor of the GCCC
Student and Community Services Center. Classes will take place only with
sufficient enrollment. Please register at least one week prior to the
start of class.
